We’ve just returned from an afternoon down on the Sussex coast in the quintessentially-English landscape around Beachy Head,Sussex.
Quite a flat overcast day, ideal for black and white photography, resulting in a compressed-perspective image of the lighthouse, and a striking panoramic view of the iconic Seven Sisters cliffs.

Having chosen a black and white format, the eye-catching significance of the lighthouse really demanded that we leave it in red & white, but this actually works better than a totally monochrome shot.
