
Today we witnessed one of the most beautiful sunset skies ever, without ever seeing the sun actually set.
We had gone to Penmaenmawr on the North Wales coast, with a vague notion that we might be able to see the sun set into the Irish Sea. However, as we subsequently discovered on The Photographers Ephemeris, the best time of year for this is actually around the longest day, while on August 24th, Anglesey gets in the way.
